DOMINOE - No Silence, No Lambs (Director's Cut) released today (Comand Records Release: 21 January 2022)

It all started when Dominoe caught the attention of a lot of new listeners all over the world after the release of the digital single “Coming Home” in 2021, featuring Jimi Jamison, who sadly had passed away far too soon.

The band then received a lot of e-mails with questions about what else they have released before. This was the moment where Dominoe began to think about ideas and go through their CD's and to have a listen. Some of their material even doesn’t exist yet in the digital world - until now. One of these albums is “No Silence... No Lambs” from 2002.

Robert Papst (guitars, production) noticed that some things, like the sound, were completely out of time. Some of it sounded too fast, some of it much too slow and some of it was only suitable for replacement.

So, Robert searched through the old hard drives and found the originals. With the experience of the release "The Lost Radioshow", he started to change tempo, exchange guitars, keyboards and drums, rearrange backing vocals and to mix the whole thing with a bigger punch.

Some of the tracks that came out were real gems. The fantastic lead vocals of Heidi Anzinger on "Keep My Secret" somehow got lost in the original recording. Now, this song has been turned in to a duet with singer Jörg Sieber.

After the first two finalized tracks, the group tested the songs on fans and on people who didn't know the band at all. Robert and Jörg were amazed. The feedback was nothing but incredible. For many listeners this was a new experience since they didn't know or even recognize these songs before.

With the help of some friends, 10 titles have now been completely reworked in the end! Of course, the whole thing has also been a travel back in time for the two musicians…

Meanwhile it's 2022... While Dominoe are producing some new songs, they also are currently  reworking the album "The Story Is Far From Told" and wrapping it into a more contemporary sound. Together with "No Silence... No Lambs - Director's Cut", "The Story Is Far From Told" will also be released on a CD somewhat later this year…at Dominoe's 35th anniversary…time flies!

“…the eerie piece is built around a repetitive organ-inspired melody and rumbling tribal thrum, with washes of distant synth and SATARAY’s rangy incantations and wails. It slowly builds in intensity, like an invocation, then simmers to a haunting close." -- Decibel
Dark ambient solo artistSATARAY today unveils “Hexennacht.” Currently streaming at Decibel Magazine, the track comes off her forthcoming Blood Trine Moon EP.

Metaphorically titled for the creative process, that of bleeding and reflecting, Blood Trine Moon is a vessel of contained rituals, exploring varied states of consciousness within occult explorations of the natural world. The EP intones rich, dark, ambient textures and further explorations into various vocal caverns. Elements of dungeon synth and harsh industrial genres blend seamlessly into this complex four-track EP.

Writes Decibel Magazine of “Hexennacht,” “…the eerie piece is built around a repetitive organ-inspired melody and rumbling tribal thrum, with washes of distant synth and SATARAY’s rangy incantations and wails. It slowly builds in intensity, like an invocation, then simmers to a haunting close. Like the rest of the EP, there are elements of industrial grime and dungeon synth.”

Adds SATARAY, "The outline of this track was created during the eve of Hexennacht one year, and encapsules all of that which is evoked."

Trapézia releases videoclip “Mirror”

Combining magic and retrofuturistic concepts, the Trapézia project continues to promote the conceptual debut EP entitled 'ECILA', which garnered much praise from the specialized critics. Today, the project releases the music video for the track “Mirror”, a super production inspired by fairy tales with dense and dark tones and with a heavy sound and striking chorus.

“A curiosity is that, initially, 'Mirrror' was written in Portuguese, but I never got to finish it because soon it had the transition to English. 'Mirror' came about in early 2019 when I wasn't even planning on releasing my own songs yet. It was then around July 2019 that I got to work better on her through the banding coaching course where I had the privilege of taking classes with Rafa Bittencourt at Sesc Guarulhos. During this course I was motivated to finish the song that when it was in Portuguese it didn't even have a name yet, the chorus was the first thing I worked on and I already put the lyrics in English as a result. I always say that I am very privileged to have had classes with Rafael Bittencourt and Fernando Quesada, they are people who inspire me a lot! They have a lot of guilt about the path I've been taking”, comments Thaís Lyrica.

Trapézia has also released the project's first music video, for the track "Games", which describes the first chapter of the EP's history. The single has the special participation of the renowned musician Fernando Quesada on bass (General Director of the music school group SCHOOL OF ROCK BRASIL), who has played in the bands Shaman and Noturnall.

In her first musical work, the artist Thais Lyrica uses all her knowledge of fashion training to insert a retrofuturistic visual concept into her music. With the release of 'ECILA', the artist presents us with a fantastic world inspired by Alice in Wonderland, the work of Lewis Carroll, where every detail, from the letters to the costumes were designed and made by Thais. With an authentic and steampunk look, Trapézia takes you on a fantastic journey into the world of ECILA. “ECILA’ is the realization of a childhood dream and I really want to continue telling stories through my music”.

Trapézia - Mirror (Official Music Video)
An authorial project of melodic metal, Trapézia was founded by artist Thaís Lyrica, who has been in contact with music from a very young age, influenced by her father, who was a musician. She began her singing studies at age 16, but she only started to dedicate herself to singing lessons in 2018. The universe of authorial music happened by chance in the life of Thais, who in 2019 after enrolling in an authorial music competition, in which she decided to participate, just a week before the closing of registrations – a moment in 2019 when she revealed her musical talent to everyone, including family members who, until then, did not know about her musical journey.

Trapézia brings the more artistic side of Thais, who has always been very shy and reserved and who found in her musical project a way to express herself and, to overcome great personal barriers that until then, seemed to be unattainable goals, Thaís Lyrica believes that dreams are possible, but dreaming is not enough! She considers herself a dreamer without limits, but you have to have a lot of determination for all these dreams to come true! OLD IRON: BrooklynVegan Debuts “Planetesimal” Video From Washington-Based Sludge Unit; Split With VERDUN To See US Release Via Satanik Royalty Records Next Month

[Cover painting by Jesse Roberts]
Seattle, Washington-based sludge bringers OLD IRON today unveil a brand new video forPlanetesimal.” Now playing at BrooklynVegan, the track comes by way of the band’s split 12” with
Montpellier, France’s doom/hardcore practitioners VERDUN. Initially released in Europe last Fall, the four-track offering will see release in the US via Satanik Royalty Records February 25th!

Notes OLD IRON of the track, “‘Planetesimal’ places the listener in a forbidding pocket of space surrounded by primordial chaos. Particles of dust are smashed together by incomprehensible cosmic forces with violent results. The woods still aren’t safe!”

View “Planetesimal” at BrooklynVegan HERE.

OLD IRON aspires to weave sprawling psychedelic sludge tapestries. Jerad Shealey (The Helm, Heiress) and Jesse Roberts (Sandrider, Kid Congo Powers, The Ruby Doe) started writing music with original drummer Brandon Ramses during 2011 with the goal of getting loud, heavy, and weird. Later that year their first self-released full-length Cordyceps (2012) was recorded in Jesse’s basement. Current drummer, Trent McIntyre, joined the ranks soon after. With McIntyre in the equation their second record came into focus. With Matt Bayles (Mastodon, Botch) at the engineering helm, Lupus Metallorum (2016) was recorded at The Red Room in Seattle and released on Good To Die records in 2016. Shealey crossed paths with Florien of VERDUN while touring with Kid Congo Powers and a lasting friendship was born. They kept in touch and eventually the idea of a split came up and the rest is history.

Forged in 2010, VERDUN made a name in the realm of slow and heavy music on the basis of a simple three-track demo, leaving a strong impression on every witness of the band’s thunderous live shows. The band has since released two full-lengths: The Eternal Drift's Canticles (2016) and Astral Sabbath (2019). Far from simple amplifier worship, the band excels at tinting their sludge/doom roots with metallic hardcore toughness, burden-of-the-world melodies and charismatic vocals, switching between echoed screams from outer space, spoken words or mournful clean vocals. VERDUN develops its hybrid doom/hardcore through a composition of new track “Narconaut” and a very personal rendition of Morbid Angel’s classic “Dawn Of The Angry.”

The split will be released via Satanik Royalty on vinyl (clear and orange smoke) and is available for preorder HERE. Find digital preorders at THIS LOCATION.
