Today, Saturnal Records announces March 5th as the international release date for a special demos boxset from Finland's legendary Barathrum, titled DEMO(NO)S.

Spread across three vinyl albums, DEMO(NO)S is a compendium of all the studio material Barathrumrecorded before their classic debut album, Hailstorm, plus the legendary From Black Flames to Witchcraft rehearsal all in one set for the first time on vinyl format! Total skullcrushing jetblack warmetal! 

 

Barathrum's DEMO(NO)S will be available in two editions: regular edition in black, bone, or witchflame-colored 3 x 12" heavy vinyl in trifold sleeve, including a woven patch and a 12-page booklet with old interviews and info; and the die hard version in black, bone, or witchflame-colored 3 x 12" heavy vinyl in trifold sleeve, including a woven patch and a 12-page booklet with old interviews and info, plus a bronze pendant and A1-size flag - strictly limited edition!

STORM OF EVIL – GRAVESTONED ( Review by Varg The Mighty )

Today’s review is of American One Man Black Metal band Storm Of Evil’s second album.

Considering its quality, it really is a demo, but that doesn’t mean it has some interesting moments. While most songs are quite typical Black Metal, perhaps Black Death Metal, there are some moments that tend towards War Metal without fully reaching it that sound pretty well. In fact, with this mix of violence, simple riffs and unique voice songs like “Fucked Til’ Death” and “Chalice Of Rancid Death” really sound like “Oath Of Black Blood”-era Beherit.

The album also has 2 interludes: “Devilsong”, an acoustic that sounds kind of dark but much too long and the odd electronic “Defending The Blasphemous Honor”, which fits better with the album. Overall this release isn’t one of the best, but it sure has some nice proto War Metal songs in it.

I recommend this album to fans of Black Metal, Black Death Metal and War Metal. My rating is of 7,5/10.

Simone Casagrande was born in Soncino, an ancient village in Northern Italy on June the 20^th 1973.

After a long gestation process the homonymous album “Casagrande” was released on October 15^th2020, by French label Soman Records.".

ATTIKA - Metal Lands

In 2018, they played their first show on Europe, the UP THE HAMMERS. The following year played in Europe at the HEADBANGERS OPEN AIR. Their European fans have not forgotten them: ATTIKA.

 

The Band from Melbourne, Florida was active for over a decade from the mid-80s to the mid-90s. The albums ´Attika´ (1988) and ´When Heroes Fall´ (1991) are legendary. From the beginning, the Line-Up included frontman and singer Robert Van War and drummer Jeff Patelski. Soon after, bassist Glenn Anthony and guitarist Bill Krajewski joined to complete the current formation.

 

Their long awaited comeback Album is massive and powerful as US Metal should sound be, because ATTIKA have not forgotten their roots. The band presents an incredibly classic US Metal Release.
